1. Introduction

BlueLeafBooks is a digital marketplace that enables authors to upload and offer digital PDF books for sale and enables customers to purchase and download those digital products. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity carried out through your account.

3. Role of BlueLeafBooks

BlueLeafBooks operates the marketplace, processes customer payments through PayPal, receives those payments as the platform operator, records transactions, delivers purchased content, deducts the platform fee, and provides authors with sales, payout, and settlement information through the platform.

BlueLeafBooks may review, suspend, reject, remove, or restrict any content, listing, or account where necessary for operational, legal, security, or policy reasons.

4. Customer Purchases and Payment Processing

All customer payments on BlueLeafBooks are processed through PayPal and are received by BlueLeafBooks as the platform operator. Customers must provide valid payment information and complete payment authorization before access to a purchased product is granted.

BlueLeafBooks does not store full payment card details. Payment processing is subject to the policies and terms of PayPal and any other payment service providers used by the platform.

5. Author Sales Records and Earnings

For each completed sale, BlueLeafBooks records the transaction and reflects the relevant sales information in the author dashboard. Authors are responsible for reviewing their sales records, account information, and payout information for accuracy.

Authors may be required to maintain a valid PayPal email or other payout-related information on file for verification, recordkeeping, support, compliance, and payout administration purposes.

6. Platform Fee

BlueLeafBooks charges authors a fixed platform fee equal to 5% of each completed sale made through the platform, unless BlueLeafBooks expressly states otherwise in writing for a specific author or promotional program.

The platform fee is deducted before author payouts are processed.

7. Monthly Author Payouts

Subject to these Terms, BlueLeafBooks processes eligible author payouts on or around the 1st day of each month for the previous month’s cleared sales, after deduction of the applicable platform fee and any permitted adjustments.

If an author’s payable balance for a payout cycle is below $25, BlueLeafBooks may carry that balance forward to the next monthly payout cycle until the minimum payout threshold is met.

8. Payout Delays, Holds, and Adjustments

BlueLeafBooks may delay, hold, offset, reverse, or adjust author payouts where reasonably necessary, including in cases involving refunds, chargebacks, payment reversals, suspected fraud, policy violations, missing or inaccurate payout information, reserve requirements, compliance reviews, or other operational or legal concerns.

9. Digital Products and No General Refund Right

All products sold on BlueLeafBooks are digital goods. Because digital files can be accessed and copied immediately after delivery, all sales are generally final once access or download has been provided. Refunds are not routinely available except where BlueLeafBooks determines that a refund is appropriate or where applicable law requires otherwise.

10. Author Responsibilities

Authors are solely responsible for the legality, originality, accuracy, quality, and ownership of the content they upload. Authors represent and warrant that they have all rights necessary to publish and sell their content through BlueLeafBooks and that such content does not infringe third-party rights or violate applicable law.

11. Intellectual Property

Authors retain ownership of their own content, subject to the rights necessary for BlueLeafBooks to host, display, market, process sales for, and deliver that content through the platform. BlueLeafBooks retains all rights in the platform itself, including its branding, design, software, and marketplace infrastructure.

12. Taxes

Authors are solely responsible for determining, reporting, and paying any taxes, duties, or other governmental charges arising from their use of the platform, their sales, or their earnings. Customers are responsible for any taxes applicable to their purchases except to the extent BlueLeafBooks is legally required to collect them.

13. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use BlueLeafBooks to distribute unlawful, infringing, misleading, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent content, interfere with platform security, attempt unauthorized access, manipulate sales or reviews, or otherwise misuse the platform.

14. Suspension and Termination

BlueLeafBooks may suspend, limit, or terminate any account or listing at its discretion where necessary to protect the platform, its users, or its legal and business interests.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlueLeafBooks disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlueLeafBooks shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising out of or related to the use of the platform, digital content sold through it, payment processing, payout timing, service interruptions, or user conduct.

17. Changes to These Terms

BlueLeafBooks may revise these Terms & Conditions at any time by posting an updated version on the platform. Continued use of the platform after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of those updated Terms.
